Youth Fellowship Members of Diocese of Kohalpur Visit an Old Age home

On 26 June 2022, youth fellowship members from four parishes of Dang district in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kohalpur had taken an initiative to visit an old age home.

There are about 18 old aged fathers and mothers staying at this home. Having been abandoned by their family, their children, they live a very lonely life. The government of Nepal has taken the initiative to support and care for them. Some of them have been staying at this home since 11 or 12 years.

The youth team spent more than two hours with the inmates of this home, talking with them and getting to know them. They spent quality time listening to their stories. Some of the aged fathers and mothers opened up their hearts and shared about the pain, struggles and the rejection they face from their families. The youth members prayed and comforted the inmates and gave them snacks and drinks before leaving. They also plan to revisit this home with some necessary items in the days to come.
