Around the world, more than enough food is produced to feed the global population—but as many as 828 million people still go hungry.
Joining the fight against hunger, on 16 October 2022, on the occasion of World Food Day, Believers Eastern Church dioceses distributed food and served fresh meals to the people who live on the margins of society, to those who are battling hunger every day.
The massive food distribution drive carried out by the church at different places which includes roadsides, hospitals, leper colonies and slums saw hundreds of poor and needy receiving food to satiate their hunger.

Diocese of Purulia organized a food distribution at a leprosy colony and provided fresh meals to more than 80 leprosy patients.
Diocese of Imphal distributed grocery items to the poor in observance of World Food Day. H.G. Jeremiah Mor Theodosius Episcopa handed out the items to people.
