A Women’s Fellowship team from Believers Church Dhemaji Diocese visited three families with mentally challenged members on the 10th of October.
This was to commemorate World Mental Health Day. The women’s fellowship team encouraged them and distributed sugar, tea leaves and biscuits as a token of love.
Kansonmoti is mentally ill and her family members took her for treatment but it was in vain. At present she is at home and being taken care of by her husband, son and daughter-in-law. When the team went to visit their house the daughter in law said, “I am glad that you came to see my mother-in-law. We appreciate your concern.”
Believers Church through its Women’s Fellowship brings hope in the lives of the mentally challenged and gives them a reason to live.
