Women’s Fellowship Teams in Diocese of Hubli Marks World BreastFeeding Week with Awareness Programs

Breastfeeding is one of the most effective ways to ensure child health and survival. However, there is a lack of knowledge among the rural population around the benefits of breastfeeding. Thus, breastfeeding awareness programs play a key role in educating mothers and community members about the importance of breastfeeding.

As part of the World Breast Feeding Week, which is celebrated every year from August 1 to 7, Women’s Fellowship Teams in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Hubli organized awareness programs at remote villages to educate women, mainly the expectant mothers and new moms on the benefits of breastfeeding. Multivitamin tablets were also distributed to needy women.
