World Mosquito Day, observed annually on August 20, serves as a reminder of the devastating impact mosquitoes can have on public health. Recognising the significance of this day, a Women’s Fellowship team in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Hubli organised an awareness programme in a local slum to empower the residents of the slum area with knowledge about mosquito-borne diseases and their prevention.
But that’s not all—going beyond education, the women’s fellowship team also extended a helping hand to five deserving families in this slum by distributing mosquito nets, ensuring their nights are peaceful and protected.
