Distribution of mosquito nets is a simple yet very effective way of saving lives. This is why, on 20 August 2022, on the occasion of World Mosquito Day, Believers Eastern Church Itahari Diocese Women’s Fellowship team organized a mosquito net distribution program at a village in Sunsari District, Nepal.
During the program, the vicar general of the diocese gave an informative speech about the World Mosquito Day and the diseases transmitted by mosquitoes. He then encouraged the villagers to utilize mosquito nets to protect themselves from mosquito-borne diseases.
Altogether 25 poor families that are solely dependent on daily labor to make a living received the mosquito nets that day. The beneficiaries were very much glad and touched by the love and kind act of the church.
Dhan Kumari Limbu, one of the recipients said, “Thank you so much for showing your love and concern for us by providing this useful gift.”
Rane Rai said, “I am living in a small rented house. I was in need of a mosquito net, but I was unable to afford it. Today I am so happy and grateful towards Believers Eastern Church for providing me this special gift.”
Pratap Rai said, “My community and I are grateful to the church for providing this beautiful gift.”
