Women’s Fellowship Team Distributes Mosquito Nets Among the Needy

On account of Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan’s birthday and International Women’s Day, the District Women’s Fellowship Committee of Chitwan District conducted a mosquito net distribution program on 8 March 2022.

The district women’s fellowship leader, priests from Believers Eastern Churches of Chitwan district and Mr. Sidhilal Gayak, chairperson of the village were present at the program. Thanking the women’s fellowship team for organizing the distribution, Mr. Sidhilal Gayak said, “During the summer season, we have sleepless nights due to mosquito menace and every year villagers get sick from mosquito bites. Thank you for providing these mosquito nets, which will surely save the life of the villagers.”

At the end of the program, mosquito nets were provided to 80 people belonging to dalit communities. These people are economically and educationally backward and totally dependent on daily labor for survival. They were so grateful to the church for extending a helping hand to them.

Bhuban Pariyar, a recipient expressed his gratitude saying, “You are really kind and helpful. You came here and helped us with mosquito nets. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this gift.”
