A team of Women’s Fellowship members from Believers Church Nellore Diocese held an awareness rally on International Literacy Day, 8th September. More than 70 people attended the rally.
Sis. Karuna led the rally and she said, “It is an important day that we want to eradicate illiteracy and to develop self-confidence in each individual.” People carried placards and banners and raised slogans like “each one teach one” and “today a reader, tomorrow a leader” to spread awareness.
Bro. Yedukondalu said, “Even schools did not bother about literacy day, but Believers Church organized this program, especially in our village. This type of social commitment should be appreciated.”
Women’s Fellowship through its adult literacy program works year-round to eradicate illiteracy from communities.
