On 10th September, a team of Sisters of Compassion and Women’s Fellowship members from Believers Church Gorakhpur Diocese observed International Literacy Day. Adult literacy classes were started for local women who were unable to read or write.
Sis. Sheeba talked and motivated the women about the importance of education. All the women received the adult literacy book, Ek Nayi Pahel.
Sis. Chandrika said, “It’s our privilege to have such a program in our life and get more education. Believers Church Women Fellowship ministry is doing wonderful work, so I am grateful to Believers Church.”
Believers Church is facing the challenge of illiteracy with adult literacy classes. Apart from that, thousands of children are receiving a good education through the Bridge of Hope project.
