A Women’s Fellowship team from the Diocese of Birtamod held a healthcare seminar for its members on 3rd July 2014. Altogether 18 women from different churches of the diocese attended the program.
The main objective of the program was to train the women about health and hygiene tips and first aid. Mrs. Man Maya addressed issues like diet during pregnancy, common problems during pregnancy, ill effects of child marriage and first aid.
The women who attended the program were very happy and eager to go out and serve the local community. Sis. Ranju said, “The seminar was really incredible. It helped me to learn things which I wasn’t aware of, like how to take care of myself in times of sickness and pregnancy. I am so thankful to the leaders for arranging this program.”
Women’s Fellowship conducts health and hygiene awareness programs like this throughout its dioceses to educate impoverished communities about the importance of a healthy life.
