A Women’s Fellowship team in Believers Church Kathmandu Diocese conducted a healthcare program on the 9th of May. This was to mark Mother’s Day celebrations. About 55 women from different local churches gathered for this program.
Mrs. Sabita first explained the significance of Mother’s Day. Then Srijana taught about health, focusing on child care and pregnancy. Mrs. Kumari taught the last session from the biblical book of Esther. She encouraged the women to be wise like Esther, who protected not only her family but the whole community.
On this occasion, two elderly women were honored with gifts. A woman named Man Maya said, “I am really very happy…Through this program, I and the women who came learned many new things that are useful for our daily lives.”
Believers Church is raising health awareness through community classes, rallies and various special programs.
