A team of Women’s Fellowship members from Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese held a health awareness program in two different places on 16th and 18th September. More than 52 women attended the programs.
Sis. Pushpamala talked to the women, emphasizing the physical problems of child marriages. The importance of breast feeding and how to monitor a child’s growth every month was also discussed in the class.
“I got married at the age of 14 and I had two miscarriages,” Geetha said. “Most of the time I fell sick. I learned a lot of things after attending the health care class. It is useful for me and I want to share it with others. Thanks a lot to Women’s Fellowship for taking an initiative to teach us about health and hygiene.”
The Women’s Fellowship department strengthens women by providing opportunities for education and growth. Health awareness classes are just one example of this.
