On 31st May 2014, World No Tobacco Day, a team of Women’s Fellowship members of Believers Church Jasidih Diocese conducted an Anti–Tobacco Awareness Program in a school.
Rev. Fr. Sivi talked to students about the dangerous aspects of tobacco. He told them, “You are buying poison with your money,” and challenged them to say no to tobacco.
The team members played a video showing the negative impact of tobacco. Many children got motivated and took a pledge to say no to tobacco.
Sandeep, a student, said, “My parents asked me many time to leave the habit of taking tobacco, but I neglected them. Now I understood that my parents were right and I was wrong.”
Believers Church conducted many awareness programs like this throughout its dioceses on World No Tobacco Day this year.
