On 7th April 2014, World Health Day, a Women’s Fellowship team from Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese conducted a health and hygiene awareness program in a slum. More than 50 women and children attended the program and learned about health and hygiene.
Sis. Vijay Kumari and Ms. Gracy talked about the importance of hygiene in daily life and the need to wash hands with soap after using the toilet, touching garbage or playing with sand. Also they emphasized washing hands before having food and brushing teeth twice a day.
“I have two children; before I did not know about health and hygiene and how to keep ourselves clean and neat,” said one woman who attended the program, “but now I know about healthcare tips to practice in our daily life. I am thankful to Believers Church for your care and love.”
Each year Believers Church educates thousands of people about health and hygiene by conducting awareness programs.
