A Women’s Fellowship team of Believers Church Aurangabad celebrated Global Hand Washing Day on 15th October 2012. The women went to an undeveloped village to teach how washing hands can save lives.
The awareness program began at 5:30 pm with a lesson from Dr. A.N. Kamte, who offered his expertise for the occasion. Rebeka (Women’s Fellowship) gave practical tips about how to wash hands. Many local women were encouraged to wash their hands properly every day and save their family from disease.
Hygiene is vital to good health. The simple act of washing with soap is one of the most effective and inexpensive ways of preventing diarrhea and pneumonia. Believers Church held events all over South Asia on Global Hand Washing Day to raise awareness about this topic.
