Believers Church Aurangabad trained teachers for Women’s Fellowship’s new Healthcare Project from 10th-13th April 2013. Ten women gathered for the seminar.
A local nurse, Mrs. Grace Jayanthi, taught nine sessions during the first three days of the training. The fourth day, questions were answered, and Rebeka (Women’s Fellowship) explained the project implementation. Throughout the seminar, women learned about first aid, hygiene and preventative measures.
Women’s Fellowship staff demonstrated how to treat fevers, headaches, stomach pain, insect bites and other common sicknesses. The participants will go into various rural communities and teach the material to village women. The village-level classes will span one year and eight months, covering 15 modules. These areas have little to no access to medical information, and people die from simple infections which are easily preventable.
Believers Church is committed to educating communities about health, hygiene and childcare. The Women’s Fellowship Healthcare Project freely provides information that can save lives in undeveloped communities.
