A training seminar for women teaching in Believers Church’s new Healthcare Program took place in Mumbai Diocese from 9th to 12th April 2013. Thirty women participated in the training, and learned with interest.
A question and answer time and practical demonstrations of the material made the teaching memorable. The group discussed myths and misconceptions commonly held by people in the region, and ways they could address these issues.
Participants were challenged to teach the dangers of child marriage and the importance of good family planning, as well as child care, hand washing and many other lessons.
The women will begin healthcare classes in various places from 20th April.
This seminar was part of Believers Church’s initiative to reach two million women with health awareness.
