The Diocese of Imphal held a healthcare seminar for the local Women’s Fellowship members on 21st June 2014. Eight women attended the program and got educated about health and hygiene tips.
Sis. Sekorem talked to the women about health and hygiene. The proper diet for pregnant women and first aid tips also were taught in the class.
The woman who attended the program was very happy and expressed their gratitude. The villagers don’t have nearby hospitals or clinics, so learning first aid is helpful and lifesaving in many cases.
Sis. Amom said, “I liked the program as I learned things which I was not aware of, like how to take care of myself in times of sickness and during pregnancy. I thank the leaders for arranging this kind of program.”
Women’s Fellowship conducts medical awareness programs, vocational training and adult literacy programs to empower poor and needy women.
