Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese conducted a community development program to distribute 52 sewing machines on the 26th of December.
The machines were distributed to 52 women who were selected based on their skills and financial status. This distribution was intended to empower women by providing them with a livelihood.
Mrs. Alina Saldhana (MLA) was the chief guest for the occasion. Addressing the gathering she said, “Believers Church has always lent a helping hand to the people of India. The opportunity for these women to earn an income and stand on their own feet will go a long way in women’s empowerment.”
One of the beneficiaries expressed her thankfulness to Believers Church for giving her a sewing machine, which will enable her to earn a livelihood by doing respectable work in the society.
Believers Church helps thousands of people each year to escape the cycle of poverty through income-generating gifts.
