The Women’s Fellowship and Sisters of Compassion of Believers Church Odisha Diocese celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2013. They went to a hospital, talked to each patient and found that many were suffering from sickle cell disease or sunstroke. They also went to a leprosy colony to raise health awareness.
The women’s team prayed for the patients they met, and distributed fruits. One of the leprosy patients named John said, “I have children, but they chased me from my home. By hearing your words I felt a little comfort.”
Believers Church actively works to improve the well-being of communities through sanitation, clean water supply and health awareness.
