Widows and Disabled Receive Gifts on Episcopal Day

Believers Church Patna Diocese celebrated Believers Church’s Episcopal Day on 6th February 2013. To honor the occasion, the diocese gave tricycles to five disabled community members, and poverty-alleviating gifts to 200 widows.

Bishop M.A. Lalachan explained the motivation behind this through a Bible verse: “Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)

Smt. Poonam Devi (MLA) took part in the event as a special guest.
