Believers Church Kolkata Diocese drilled a new well on 15th March 2013 for a village in West Bengal. This remote farming community lacked a decent water source, so the people used to gather water from nearby ponds. This water was impure and caused a lot of disease.
A local Believers Church worker addressed this problem by using the church’s water supply project to install a well in the village.
Villagers are excited to use the well, which now supplies water for drinking, cooking and other needs. Each day, around 200 people fetch water from the well.
This is just one village out of thousands that has gained a good water source through Believers Church.
