Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Pokhara in Nepal distributed warm clothes to elderly women living under extremely difficult conditions to help them stay safe and warm in the winter.
The distribution was held in Rupandehi District on 5 January 2022. This district is situated in the Terai region where the impact of winter is much severe and the cold wave affects normal life every winter. The diocesan vicar handed out the blankets to the elderly women who received the winter aid with much joy.
Tanka Kumari Rana, 76 years old, said, “I am very much happy today that I received a new and warm blanket. From today on I will be able to sleep well at night. Thank you very much.”
“I am so happy that I could receive a blanket to keep myself warm during this winter. Thank you for this gift” said another 77-year-old woman by name Suntali Kshetri.
In a bid to give respite to the people suffering from the cold weather, Believers Eastern Church Dioceses in Nepal have been distributing winter aid to the poor and needy since the onset of the winter season.
