On 28th April 2014, the Diocese of Jasidih inaugurated five different bore wells for villagers in need of clean water. Overall 950 people depend on these bore wells for their water needs.
The villagers were facing water scarcity for a long time. They used to walk up to 20 kilometers to fetch drinking water. The long walks under the hot sun were difficult for the villagers. Through the local pastor, the church authorities came to know about the water crisis and decided to install bore wells for the villagers.
The clean water project is one of the many projects of the church working to develop needy communities.
