Villagers Lacking Sanitation Facilities Get Toilets in the Diocese of Lucknow
December 25, 2012On 25th December 2012, the Diocese of Lucknow dedicated a toilet for villagers in need. Overall 15 people from the community now use these facilities.
The poor, illiterate villagers didn’t have proper sanitation facilities. Usually they depended on open places for defecating. But in rainy season they faced problems because these places would be filled with water. Because of this unhygienic practice, many diseases spread among villagers.
Through the sanitation project the church helps the communities to improve health.
