The people of two remote villages in Rajasthan received a gift that made them smile—toilets. Believers Church constructed two toilets in these places, inaugurating them on 6th January 2013.
The villagers lived in the midst of farming field, where food was produced. They could not use this ground for their lavatory. So all the villagers would rise early in the morning and go to remote places to relieve themselves. It was really difficult for the women and children.
The new toilets were a welcome addition to their village. “We are pleased to have toilets near to our house,” said the people.
“Your church has done a good work in my village,” said village head Ruplal Baya. “My people are very happy about it. Your church is concerned about the development of my people.” He joined the villagers in giving thanks.
This is one example of how Believers Church’s new sanitation project is working to provide proper toilets in communities that lack safe and hygienic facilities.
