Underprivileged Children Receive Hygiene and School supplies in Diocese of Malabar

In an effort to help needy children who are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Malabar held a gift distribution program in Kasargod District, Kerala on 18 October 2021, through Hope for Children.

The local parish priest, the Diocesan vicar, Hope for Children staff and the local panchayat president Mrs. Lathakumary were present at the distribution program.

During the program, school supplies and hygiene items were distributed to 94 poor and needy children. Each child received a kit consisting of pen, pencil, eraser, scale, drawing book, color pencils, sanitizer, face mask, tooth paste, tooth brush, bathing soap and washing soap.

The children were very happy to receive the kits and they thanked Hope for Children for providing them with much-needed items.

Manjula, one of the children, said, “Due to the Covid-19 pandmic, my family faced many difficulties to meet our daily needs. I thank the church and Hope for Children team for this great help. Your help means a lot to my family.”
