Believers Church Delhi Diocese gave free health checkups to 12 communities through local Bridge of Hope centers in November 2007. The medical camps took place in Delhi’s metropolitan area and the neighboring towns of Faridabad, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad.
An average of 350 underprivileged people attended each camp, including children, pregnant women, elderly and other adults. Doctors examined the community members and prescribed free medicine for their health problems.
Multivitamins, calcium, cough syrup and pain relievers are some of the medicines the doctors distributed. Serious patients were referred to health centers with more facilities.
People were very pleased by the camps and asked that medical care be offered more frequently in the future. These patients represent thousands who have benefited from Believers Church’s vision to care for those who cannot afford medical treatment.
