Believers Church Agartala Diocese celebrated Children’s Day in its Bridge Of Hope centers on 14th November 2012. Students performed songs, cultural dances, choreography, debates and skits.
At one project center, Rev. Fr. Ratan spoke about the life of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose birthday is marked by Children’s Day. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru wanted children all over the world to grow, prosper and receive proper education. The audience was moved to hear of the beloved leader’s zeal to uplift the destitute.
In another Bridge of Hope center, Rev. Fr. Kishore challenged community members to take an active role in molding the lives of local children.
Prizes and awards were distributed to students based on outstanding performance in various activities. Children were recognized with awards for best student, best attendance, best sports player of the year, etc.
Believers Church gives children the potential to do something worthwhile with their lives. The Bridge of Hope project is currently transforming the lives of over 60,000 children in need.
