Tripura Community Learns How Tobacco Use is “Burning India to Ashes”

The Diocese of Agartala held an anti-tobacco awareness program in a market on 31st May 2014, World No Tobacco Day. A team of diocesan staff and members of Women’s Fellowship together conducted this program.

They played a video called “Burning India to Ashes” which narrated the dangerous impacts of tobacco usage.

Mr. Nirenjoy Tripura (Police Officer) attended the program and talked to the public about “how tobacco affects our health”. He encouraged the people to say no to tobacco and he appreciated the initiative of Believers Church.

Believers Church fights against tobacco and alcohol by conducting awareness programs like this throughout its diocese.
