Believers Church Diocese of Agartala dedicated new toilets to eight tribal families from different villages on 3rd and 8th September 2014.
Previously, these families used to go to bushes, paddy fields, roadside and even to the surroundings of their houses to defecate because they lacked proper sanitation facilities. Seeing their need, the church decided to provide sanitation facilities to them. The beneficiaries were happy and thanked the church for helping them.
“We needed a toilet but my less income was insufficient to build our own one,” said Gobinda Debbarma, a beneficiary. “Thank you so much for seeing our need and providing us a new toilet.”
Believers Church provides toilets to people lacking sanitation facilities through sanitation project to reduce the risk of diseases and to bring dignity and safety to women.
