Believers Church Udaipur Diocese inaugurated four toilets in a nearby village on 5th January 2013 through the church’s new sanitation project.
Previously, the villagers lacked good sanitation facilities. The land surrounding the village is open farming field, making it difficult for the people to use it as a lavatory. They had to walk kilometers daily to defecate. But even then, since they were still using an open area, disease spread. Many small children from the village were affected with life-threatening illness.
Knowing the village’s need, Believers Church decided to help. The church constructed four toilets, each to be used by several families in the community.
Mr. Mohanlal (village sarpanch) attended the inauguration ceremony for the new sanitation project. He expressed how much he valued the social work of Believers Church.
The sanitation project provides hygienic toilets to needy communities, promoting both health and dignity.
