On 15th October 2012, a Believers Church Tinsukia Diocese Women’s Fellowship team organized a program for Global Hand Washing Day at a place called Noloni T.E.
The main guest for the day was Pastor Komal and the resource person was Sokila, a Women’s Fellowship team member. The purpose of the program was to teach the benefits of hand washing in preventing sickness.
The team shared that dirty hands are one of the main avenues of transmitting harmful, disease-causing germs into the body. They stated that washing hands with soap can prevent diseases like typhoid and cholera.
More than 100 people attended the event, including women and children. After the program, the participants appreciated Believers Church.
Believers Church is working in many different places in South Asia to raise awareness about hygiene and other social issues.
