Tinsukia Church Leader Expresses Concern on World AIDS Day

Believers Church Tinsukia Diocese organized an HIV/AIDS awareness rally on 1st December 2012 including diocese staff, Bridge of Hope and Women’s Fellowship. Minor Seminary students and local church members also participated.

Prior to the rally, church leaders spoke about the disease. They challenged the gathering to pray for AIDS-affected people and their families.

“As a church it is our responsibility, we must make our dear brothers and sisters of this land to know about this disease HIV/AIDS,” said Rev. Fr. Sunil in a media interview. “They must know the consequences of unawareness of this deadly sickness. We want to see the protection of our village, town and country people from this danger.”

Believers Church held similar awareness events in many locations with the goal to educate communities about the often misunderstood disease.
