The Sunday School Department of Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu, Nepal, recently concluded a vibrant and transformative Three-Day Kids’ Day Camp held at St. John’s Believers Eastern Church from April 15th to 17th, 2024.
A total of 270 enthusiastic Sunday school children from 13 Believers Eastern Churches across the Kathmandu valley actively participated in the camp, engaging in a multitude of spiritually enriching activities. Under the loving guidance of Sunday school teachers, the young attendees delved into the themes of ‘True Friend Jesus’, ‘Forgiving Friend Jesus’, and ‘I am a friend of Jesus’. Through action-packed songs, games, crafts, and captivating Bible stories, the children joyfully absorbed valuable lessons.
The camp reached its pinnacle on the final day with a series of competitions, where every group showcased their talents through singing, dancing, reciting memory verses, and artistic expressions. Parents were invited to witness their children’s achievements and hear firsthand about the enriching experiences of the past three days. At the end of the program, the top performers received certificates of encouragement.
Throughout the camp, the atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the children immersed themselves in God’s word, action songs, games, and stories from the Bible and the lives of saints. They also learned the significance of the Jesus Prayer, prayer rope, and the importance of deepening the relationship with their true friend Jesus.
Reflecting on his experience, Peter Chaudhary expressed his happiness, saying, “I felt very much happy to be part of this camp. I learnt action songs, stories, games and Bible. I also learnt Jesus is my best friend. I also made many friends here.”
