Teliamura Mission Province Distributes 100 Blankets to the Needy

Believers Eastern Church Mission Province of Teliamura organized a pre-Christmas Celebration in Khowai District, Tripura on 14 December 2022.

Shri. Animesh Debbarma, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Executive Member of TTAADC, was the chief guest at the program. During his inaugural address, he said, “The reason why Christ Jesus came to earth was to show His great love to people and save them from their sins.”

During the program, the diocese distributed 100 blankets to needy people, and gifted seven middle-aged people with new set of clothes. Risha (a Tripura traditional dress) and clothing were gifted to 47 ordained priests as well.

His Grace Anil Mor Philemon Episcopa delivered a Christmas message based on Isaiah 9:6.
“We are a blessed people because we could know about the Lord Jesus and His birth from the Bible. But, remember, in earlier times, people did not have the Bible but they still had deep faith in God”. “We have to live together in unity”, he said.

As part of the pre-Christmas celebration, which was attended by around 500 people, priests and members of various parishes also performed cultural dances.
