Tea Garden Workers Receive Free Medical Checkups and Treatments in Diocese of Jorhat

Believers Church Diocese of Jorhat conducted a free medical camp for tea garden workers on 23rd December 2014.

These people are from financially poor families and are not able to afford any medical facilities even if they are sick. So, providing them basic medical treatment and medicine was the main purpose of organizing this camp.

Two doctors came to give the needed medical care and around 220 people attended the camp. They received health checkups, treatment and medicine and also thanked the church for caring for their health.

Medical Camps are just one among the various healthcare initiatives through which the church ensures the health of people living in rural areas.
