Believers Church Gorakpur Diocese inaugurated a new tailoring unit on the 8th of August.
The unit is located in a village which is mostly populated by widows. Rev. Fr. Abhishek inaugurated the tailoring center and welcomed the local people to be part of the center. He also said that the main focus was to take care of widows.
After the program the villagers learned how to use the sewing machines from the Sisters of Compassion who are working with them. The sisters are involved in teaching children and taking care of widows. The widows and local women were happy to know that they have a future to look forward to.
Dolly (19 yrs old) said, “I was a student of 10th standard. Due to sickness I left my studies and am spending my time at home. I am happy to have a tailoring center in my place. Surely I will join.”
Reshma (23 yrs old) said, “I am really impressed by the help given by Believers Church. I think this is one of the best ways to gain knowledge and have fellowship.”
This is just one example of how Believers Church cares for the downtrodden and neglected.
