Twelve women graduated on 16th July 2016 in Believers Church Diocese of Siliguri after completing a six-month tailoring course.
Mr. Wilson Champramary (MLA) was invited as chief guest for the graduation program. Around 200 people were present at the event. Inaugurating the function, the chief guest said, “I appreciate the work of Believers Church, especially Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohanan for his vision to help the poor and needy people of the society”. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the church for helping underprivileged women by giving them an opportunity to learn tailoring and providing sewing machine through which they can earn an income and help their family financially.
After the inaugural address, the chief guest and other dignitaries presented certificates and sewing machines to the 12 graduates.
This is the seventh batch which received vocational training in tailoring from a sewing center run by Bridge of Hope.
