Sunday School Children Plant Saplings in a School on World Environment Day
June 5, 2014Sunday school children from Believers Church Changlang planted saplings at a government school on World Environment Day, 5th June 2014. Around 50 students took part in the program and they planted 25 different types of saplings.
Mr. Jugunath Sungkurang (Village Head) was the chief guest of the program and he said, “I am thankful to the church for coming to our village on World Environment Day and I am happy that the children and youths took part in the program because they are the ones who will take and lead the future of this place.”
Mr. Kamal Siyam (School Headmaster) said, “I thank all of you for coming to our school and conducting this program. I really appreciate you for the initiative and definitely these trees planted here will be a blessing to our school and the children.”
Believers Church conducted similar programs in all its 33 dioceses on this World Environment Day.
