Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese celebrated Independence Day and engaged in social work on the 15th of August.
Nearly 150 people gathered for the occasion. Shri. Ramanna Shetty (Chairman of Panchayat) was the chief guest for the event. He talked about our country and appreciated Believers Church for its concern towards the poor and needy.
After the flag hoisting, Diocese staff and Seminary students served the community through social work. They went to a public market and cleaned garbage in the roads. They worked hard to clear grass from the boundary walls and also cleaned the filthy area, including a canal filled with garbage. The public were happy to see the improvements and appreciated the work done by our students.
Believers Church celebrates Independence Day with social work like this one each year throughout India.
