On 15th August 2010, Believers Church Mumbai Diocese celebrated the nation’s freedom by cleaning public places in Panvel city.
All the staff and family members of Believers Church started their day at the local Minor Seminary campus for an Independence Day program. Rev. Fr. Jose (Vicar General) hoisted the flag and the choir sang the national anthem. In his speech, Rev. Fr. Jose spoke about the significance of the anthem.
After this, the students and staff went to work in a marketplace, excited to keep their city clean. They then went to Panvel Bus stand and cleaned all the public areas, including the public toilets. The people of Panvel city were amazed to see the splendid work of the students.
The Minor Seminary was glad for a chance to help the city to keep it clean. In fact, Believers Church members in many locations did similar projects, showing their love for India.
