St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Parish in Nepal Celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

On 14 September, 2022, St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church of Kohalpur celebrated the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in remembrance of the day when the true cross of the Lord Jesus Christ was found by St. Helena.

The most characteristic rite of this feast was the priest raising the Cross in all four cardinal directions to represent the universal nature of Christ’s sacrifice, while the faithful prayerfully respond saying “Lord have mercy”.
