The priest and faithful of St. Peter’s Believers Eastern Church Cathedral in Diocese of Colombo joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Peter with Divine Liturgy and a beautiful procession.
The celebrations began with a grand procession held within the cathedral grounds. The faithful, accompanied by the clergy, walked in procession, offering prayers and singing hymns of praise. This was followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
During the homily, the church priest explained how Apostle Peter was instrumental in the establishment and growth of the early Church and his steadfast commitment to spreading the Gospel, urging the faithful to draw inspiration from his example.
The cathedral surroundings were adorned with vibrant decorations, creating an atmosphere of celebration and spiritual reflection. The Feast not only served as an opportunity for the faithful to express their devotion but also provided a moment of reflection and gratitude for the numerous contributions St. Peter has made to the Church throughout history.
