As several parts of northwest India reels under biting cold, the Diocesan Women’s Fellowship team in Believers Eastern Church Archdiocese of Delhi organized a blanket distribution drive in a small village in Sohna District, Haryana to help the poor find some respite from freezing cold temperature.
A majority of the people of this village earn their livelihood through cultivation. Altogether, 50 families from this village were presented with warm blankets during the distribution program. The beneficiaries were extremely happy to receive the blankets.
One of the recipients by name Manish said, “Ever since the winter started, our family was in desperate need of a blanket. Due to financial difficulties, we were not able to afford a blanket. I am so thankful to the church for providing blankets to me and others in our village.”
