Special Visit Brings Smile on the Faces of Widows

In honor of International Widows Day, on 23 June 2018, a team of women from Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Jeypore visited old and destitute widows in nearby villages and made them feel special by distributing gifts to them.

They visited the houses of 35 old widows living in extreme poverty and isolation, spent time with them and gifted them with cooking pots and fruits. These widows make their living by selling tea, firewood, and fish and by cleaning others’ houses. They lead a lonely life. They were indeed touched by the kind gesture shown by the women’s team.
