Slum Dwellers Receive Clothes on Gandhi Jayanthi

Believers Church Diocese of Mumbai distributed clothes in two different slums on 2nd October 2014. Ninety-two people including men, women and children received clothes that day.

These people are living in a very pathetic condition. They earn either by begging or by collecting garbage. They don’t have good clothes to wear and all their dresses were torn and untidy. So, the Women’s Fellowship members and Sisters of Compassion went to distribute some clothes for them.

“I never expected a gift like this,” said Lakshmi. “Thank you so much for caring us.”

Believers Church shows care and compassion to slum dwellers, orphans and widows through gift distribution and poverty alleviation programs.
