Sisters of Compassion from Believers Church Pokhara Diocese distributed clothes to the poor on the 28th and 30th of June 2013.
On the 28th, the beneficiaries were children who attend tuition centers conducted by the Sisters of Compassion. Besides giving them clothes, the sisters cut their hair and nails. They also taught them how to wash their hands and about the importance of health.
Similarly on the 30th the sisters visited a refugee colony. The impoverished people there have no homes to stay in and no clothes to wear. Therefore to extend support from Believers Church, the sisters distributed clothes to them and also to some patients in a leprosy colony.
This is one example of how Believers Church’s Sisters of Compassion reach out to the downtrodden and outcasts in the society.
