Sisters of Compassion Start New Work with Blanket Distribution in Chattisgarh

Believers Church Bilaspur Diocese started a new ministry of Sisters of Compassion on 26th January 2014. The inauguration of the new work took place on World Leprosy Day.

The sisters first visited a leprosy colony where 1,000 people reside, followed by a leprosy hospital. They distributed blankets to all and spent some quality time with them.

Ms. Gohalabai, a leprosy affected person, was so thankful to receive a blanket and also she expressed her gratitude to our sisters for coming and helping the leprosy patients who are helpless.

This was just one of many similar events organized by Believers Church on World Leprosy Day and these Sisters of Compassion represent hundreds of women who are serving among the most neglected people in society.
