A team of Sisters of Compassion in the Diocese of Udaipur started conducting literacy classes in different places for illiterate nomads in the month of March. The sisters conduct literacy classes for both adults and children.
Twenty-seven adults are currently attending the adult literacy classes and 55 children who are not able to go school also get assistance. Apart from reading, writing and basic mathematics the nomads learn about basic cleanliness.
The children are very happy because very few children attend school in their community. Most of the children roam around the streets or assist their parents in their work.
Sisters of Compassion is an order of Believers Church that cares for the neglected, downtrodden and despised.
